Our academic programs require that you be an active participant in your education. While we understand that unexpected and unavoidable life events occur on occasion, we expect that you attend every class for which you are registered. However, any anticipated absence, regardless of the circumstance, should be discussed with your instructor as soon as possible.

If you are sick or have other important life events preventing you from attending class, your absence may be permitted by your instructor. He or she will counsel you if he or she feels as though your absences endanger your standing in the course. At his or her discretion, you may receive a failing grade in the course if you continue to be absent.
