To drop a course during the add/drop period simply delete it from your course list in Populi. Review this article for more details. There are no penalties for dropping a course within the add/drop period (see the academic calendar for dates).

Implications for withdrawal after the add/drop period
You will be assigned a ‘W’ ("withdrawn" from course) grade for the course on your transcript. The course grade will not impact your GPA.
Be sure to review the course withdraw deadlines and tuition refund schedules for important policies regarding your dropped courses. Course withdrawal after the deadline will be assigned a grade of "F".
