The Master of Arts in Counseling is a degree program designed to give a rich foundation in theology and counseling. It is done in collaboration with the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF), a pioneer in biblical counseling who brings 50 years of leadership and experience in the field. 

Our program combines academic studies and practical training to equip you to better help those in need—whatever your calling.  Graduates provide Christ-centered care as informal or professional counselors.

It is not intended to prepare students either for ordination or licensure, but to prepare men and women for ministry within the body of Christ, whether in lay vocational ministry or as supplements to their work and personal lives.

Westminster graduates have established themselves successfully in a wide range of occupations that do not require professional licensure. With a Westminster counseling degree, graduates have pursued occupations in various fields, such as:

Numerous Westminster graduates have also used their counseling training to enhance prior medical or nursing training for service in various missions and ministries.

Building on a basic foundation in the disciplines of biblical studies, theology, church history, and apologetics, this program provides comprehensive instruction and active involvement in the specific area of biblical counseling.

A student who holds a Baccalaureate degree from an approved institution receives the degree of Master of Arts in Counseling (MAC) upon the completion of the prescribed program of study. 

The program requires at least 2 years of full-time study in order to qualify for completion.
