Chapel

Westminster Theological Seminary exists to train specialists in the Bible to proclaim the whole counsel of God for Christ and his global church. Chapel serves that mission by gathering the seminary community each week for prayer, praise, and the ministry of the Word. These weekly gatherings cultivate the spiritual life of our students, faculty, staff, and their families, model faithful Reformed preaching and worship, and strengthen our partnership with Christ's global church through the ministry of faculty members and invited guests.

Chapel meets each Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. (ET) during the fall and spring semesters in the classrooms of Westminster Hall and is livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person via our YouTube livestream. To underscore the central place of chapel in the life of the seminary, the whole seminary is closed during this weekly gathering so that the entire Westminster Seminary community may participate.

Faculty-led prayer groups meet in various locations on campus on Thursdays before the lunch period. Online students also gather once each month for prayer following chapel. Dates and meeting links are available on the Dean's Desk Circle page.

All students are encouraged to participate regularly in chapel and prayer. As we gather each week under the ministry of Christ through his Word, our prayer is that those preparing to proclaim the whole counsel of God will themselves continually grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, to the praise of our Triune God's glorious grace.
