NT Interpretation: The Gospels

Course Description

In this course, we'll consider how to understand the Gospels, how to read them theologically, and what to make of all the competing theories about who Jesus supposedly "really" is. Additionally, we'll consider the history of interpretation, but our primary focus is gaining the proper frameworks for the Gospels. Understanding them in the context of progressive revelation and providing you with the tools necessary for a lifetime of study and discipleship. Finally, we'll consider an overview of the content and theology of Jesus' actions and teaching and examine the character and special emphases of each canonical Gospel.
