Course Description
PT 231 is a preaching course emphasizing the content, craft, and application of the expositional sermon, with special focus on preaching Old Testament texts. This course builds on the Theology and Practice of Preaching by focusing on the hermeneutics and disciplines of preaching expository sermons from various genres in the literature of the Old Testament and providing students with a "lab" experience to practice preaching two sermons from the Old Testament.

Synchronous Meeting Times
This course offers optional synchronous class meeting(s) through Zoom which will be scheduled during the term based on everyone's availability (a poll will be taken by the instructor for these meetings and they will be recorded for students who are unable to attend live). These meetings will be helpful for the formation your understanding of apologetics as well as provide an opportunity to practice the method live with your instructor.
