Advanced Theological Writing II

Course Description
The goal of this course is for students to strengthen their theological writing skills through study and practice in theological genres (apologetics, systematics, biblical studies, church history, and pastoral theology). The course will train you in the types of writing assignments you will have in seminary classes, and also prepare you to communicate clearly in your future ministry.

Course Assignments

- Writing Exercises [1.5 – 2.5 hours per week]
- 1 ST Essay Assignment [500 – 750 words]
- 3 WTS Preparedness Assignments [250 – 300 words]
- 1 Writing Process Assignment [1500 words]
- Final Exam [3 hours]
Synchronous Meeting Times
This course offers optional synchronous class meeting(s) through Zoom which will be scheduled during the term based on everyone's availability (a poll will be taken by the instructor for these meetings and they will be recorded for students who are unable to attend live). These meetings will be helpful for the formation your understanding of apologetics as well as provide an opportunity to practice the method live with your instructor.
