We desire all students to be successful academically, therefore we have specific expectations for all of them.

Our first expectation is that you complete your degree within the maximum program time limit. You must also maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), which measures how adequate your work is, in order to receive your desired degree. What we measure looks a little different depending on what degree you are pursuing.

If you're working toward an MDiv, MAR, or a Certificate and haven't yet completed 24 credit hours, your GPA must be above 1.96. If you've completed or attempted more than 24 hours, your GPA must be higher than 2.00 and you must have completed at least 67 percent of the credits you've attempted. In order to graduate, your GPA must stay above 2.00.

If you're in our ThM program, you must pass any required competency exams and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater after three courses.

Our PhD students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater during their period of coursework. If you're in the Hermeneutics and Biblical Interpretation Field, you must maintain a 3.0 in your four area seminars.

DMin students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in order to graduate.

If you're taking Advanced Theological Writing (ATW) courses, you must take the appropriate one until a passing grade is earned. You must pass before your third semester/term in an ATW course.

Students receiving financial aid should contact the financial aid office with any questions in regard to their academic standing.
