If you are a current student and are looking to apply or reapply for a scholarship for the 2019-2020 academic year, please follow the instructions below!

In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must submit an application form and submit any additional supporting documents listed on your Financial Aid Application Portal to complete your financial aid application. Students are only able to have one Westminster scholarship at a time.

Who needs to apply?

  1. New Scholarship Applications: If you currently do not receive a scholarship or would like to apply for a different scholarship.
  2. Renewal Scholarship Applications: If you currently receive one of the below scholarships, you'll need to submit an application for the new academic year. If your scholarship is not listed below, you do not need to reapply. Scholarship eligibility will be assessed automatically.

    Submit a renewal application for:
    1. MDiv Ministry (includes Under Care and Mentored Ministry)
    2. American Minority
    3. General Grant
    4. Church Partnership

If you do not reapply or do not complete the application, you will not be considered.

Once you submit the application form, you'll gain access to your Financial Aid Application Portal, where you can see a checklist of additional required materials for your application. You can also upload required materials through your Portal. Your checklist will be updated often as we receive materials for your application.

The deadline to complete your scholarship application is May 31, 2019. After this date, no late applications will be considered. A complete application includes the application form and all of the required materials submitted to Financial Aid.

There are two types of loans for students: federal loans and private loans. Both loans have competitive rates, so you are encouraged to look into both options to see what is best for you. The financial aid office is more than happy to walk through both options with you!

Any loan offered to you will be added to your Populi account, where you will need accept, adjust, or decline the loan that is offered to you before the loan can disburse.

If you are looking to take out a federal loan, you will need to be at least half-time. First time loan borrowers will need to complete the 2019-20 FAFSA, Entrance Counseling, and a Master Promissory note in addition to Westminster's loan request form.

Loans are available at any time during the semester, but the loan will be disbursed during the next available disbursement date

Payment Plans

Payment plans are a great way for residential students to pay their remaining balance over the course of the semester. If you are able, we would encourage this option in lieu of a student loan so your payments would be made directly to Westminster rather than a loan servicer to save money on interest fees over time!

The sooner you set up your payment plan the better, so that your account may be settled by the start of classes.

Please contact the Student Billing office to discuss setting up a payment plan.
