How to manage Workplace notifications

It's important that you are accessing information you need about your courses, upcoming events, and program updates regularly. Yet we know that your student email can fill up quickly with other notifications, including those from Workplace.

By default, Workplace sends emails and notifications for all activity, which can get overwhelming rather quickly! Read more here about how to manage those notifications while still getting the updates you need.

Adjusting Email Notifications

Step 1: Log in to Workplace

Step 2: Click on your picture in bottom left and click “Settings”

Step 3: Click on “Notifications” and adjust your settings based on your preferences. The settings below are for any email communication you receive from Workplace.

  • For maximum notifications, select "All."

  • For custom notifications, select "Suggested" and adjust which events you would like to be notified for.

  • For minimum notifications, select "Only about your account." This is the recommended option as it will provide important updates about courses without notifying you of each post from your classmates.



You can also customize the notifications you would like to receive on your mobile devices and desktop accordingly.

Adjusting Group Notifications

You can also adjust notifications for each of the groups that you are a part of.

Step 1: Go to the group you would like to adjust notifications for.

Step 2: Click on the bell icon on the top right and adjust based on your preference.
