If you are a current student and are looking to apply or reapply for a scholarship for the Spring 2019 semester only, please follow the instructions below!
In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must submit an application form and submit any additional supporting documents to your Financial Aid Application Portal to complete your financial aid application. Students are only able to have one Westminster scholarship at a time.
All students must reapply for their scholarships each year.
If you do not reapply or do not complete the application, you will not be considered.
Once you submit the application form, you'll gain access to your Financial Aid Application Portal, where you can see a checklist of additional required materials for your application. You can also upload required materials through your Portal. Your checklist will be updated often as we receive materials for your application.
The deadline to complete your financial aid application is December 15th, 2018. After this date, no late applications will be considered. A complete application includes all of the required components have been turned in by the deadline.

There are two types of loans for students: federal loans and private loans. Both loans have competitive rates, so you are encouraged to look into both options to see what is best for you. The financial aid office is more than happy to walk through both options with you!
Any loan offered to you will be added to your Populi account, where you will need accept, adjust, or decline the loan that is offered to you before the loan can disburse.
If you are looking to take out a federal loan, you will need to be at least half-time. First time loan borrowers will need to complete the 2018-19 FAFSA, Entrance Counseling, and a Master Promissory note in addition to Westminster's loan request form.
The application and information about all of the supporting documents (also called components) are available on your Populi page under Financial Aid. These will be updated often to reflect your live checklist for you to monitor the status.
Loans are available at any time during the semester, but the loan will be disbursed during the next available disbursement date.
Payment plans are a great way for residential students to pay their remaining balance over the course of the semester. If you are able, we would encourage this option in lieu of a student loan so your payments would be made directly to Westminster rather than a loan servicer to save money on interest fees over time!
The sooner you set up your payment plan the better, so that your account may be settled by the start of classes.
Please contact Lauren in Student Billing to get your payment plan set up.
